There was a certain thing happening in the Nineties with Spike [Lee], [John] Singleton, Reginald Hudlin, the Hughes brothers…all that was happening. I think probably every decade you have one. Now, it’s a new decade, a new time. People like Ava are conscious of what their brands are.
