Rogier Bosschaart
Rogier Bosschaart is a Dutch model, painter, and curator whose working life has developed on both sides of the fashion image. From Amsterdam, he established an international modeling career before extending his visual interests into painting and collaborative cultural projects.
His fashion work includes campaigns for Jil Sander and Prada, alongside editorials for magazines such as Arena Homme+ and i-D. Jil Sander became a recurring client during the mid-2010s. After appearing in its fall-winter 2014 advertising, Rogier returned for the spring-summer 2015 campaign, photographed by Collier Schorr.
His editorial career also brought him to the cover of L’Uomo Vogue in 2018. Photographed by Julia Hetta, he joined a cast of models and dancers for a story styled by Hannes Hetta. That same year, he appeared with Hamid Onifade in Theory’s fall advertising, another example of the sustained photographic work behind his runway career.
Painting developed into a separate public practice. His exhibition history includes Untitled//unfinished at Amsterdam’s BlowUp Gallery in 2022-2023, followed by appearances at Vrijpaleis and Miami’s Satellite Art Show. His artist biography describes a method built from carefully placed dots, with repeated small marks forming intricate abstract compositions.
Rogier’s work expanded further into creative direction and curation. On his own website, he credits international work with an education in different cultures and collaborative disciplines. His projects include creative production within Amsterdam’s artist-run Vrijpaleis and an interactive installation for Satellite Miami. Fashion remains part of that larger visual career, alongside work in which he helps shape the setting, purpose, and presentation of other people’s ideas.
