Walking down a catwalk seems like a simple task, but what do you do when the lights come up, hundreds of people are a mere feet away and you have to maintain a constant pace? According to Philipp Bierbaum, “Honestly, nothing. You go out, turn (mostly left!), go back and that’s it.” However, not every catwalk is a smooth experience. Philipp explained one occasion where he “forgot to spit [out his] chewing gum before entering the catwalk, noticed half way and stopped chewing.” With all attention on him, Philipp continued, “I guess that the audience was wondering what was wrong with me even though I hope that no one noticed…that was my only highlight on the catwalk.”
