Milo Spijkers Plays the Gent for 1205 Fall/Winter 2012

Milo Spijkers Plays the Gent for 1205 Fall/Winter 2012

Dressing the Part–Milo Spijkers cleans up nicely for the fall/winter 2012 lookbook of London-based label 1205. Photographed by Rory van Millingen, Milo dons the latest collection of designer Paula Gerbase with the utmost confidence. Creating classic pieces with modern proportions, 1205’s inspiration for autumn is found in the minimalist structures of American artist Anne Truitt. Translating the energy of Truitt into clean garments, executed with contrasting textures, paneling and subdued colors, the collection achieves a relaxed sophistication. While trousers are wide and shirting is a mixture of charm and character, wool and moleskin pieces make up the collection’s core with outerwear, tailored jackets and loose trousers making a swift sartorial statement.
