Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim toned down their kitschy aesthetic, crafting a spring-summer 2016 collection inspired by the idea of traveling and exploring the desert. Taking to easy, relaxed silhouettes for the season, neutrals and breathable fabrics like nylon and cotton informed the laid-back outing. Weaving in subtle details, casual pants boasted elasticated waists, shirt jackets provided useful pockets and long summer coats were as light as paper. Adding a little character, stripes and 3-D textural plays added an editorial edge to the collection.
