Spring marks a new chapter for John Varvatos branding. The designer has parted ways with longtime collaborator photographer Danny Clinch, but that’s not the only change. Instead of featuring a rock musician in his latest campaign, Varvatos tapped model Sid Ellisdon to front the outing. Posing for black & white images, Sid is photographed by Billy Kidd.
Talking to WWD about the advertisement, Varvatos shared, “Rock extends beyond a genre or a moment and embodies a lifestyle unlike any other.” The American designer continues, “With the new campaign, the message we’re communicating is: we salute individuality, authenticity, freedom and rebellion. Achieve greatness in your own way.”
