River Island is a British fashion brand, which was founded in 1948 by Bernard Lewis and his brothers. The label is considered a high street label and is headquartered in London. River Island introduced menswear in 1982 with the debut of its Concept Man stores. In 1988, the Concept Man stores were merged with its Chelsea Girl label to become today’s River Island. The British brand is known for its trendy fashions and frequent collection launches.
