Designer Paul Smith opened his first shop in 1970. The Nottingham store was called Paul Smith Vêtements. In 1976, Smith made his fashion week debut, showing in Paris with his namesake label. The brand quickly became known for its sartorial suiting and in the eighties; relaxed tailoring. Since, Paul Smith has become synonymous with balancing classic suits and fun, colorful retro-inspired fashions.
