Men's Denim & Jeans
Denim is one of the essential textiles in fashion. The timeless fabric is a cotton warp-faced textile. It features a twill weaving that gives the impression of a diagonal ribbing. Typically colored with indigo dye for blue jeans, denim is easily a go-to staple. Popular since 1873, Nevada-based tailor Jacob W. Davis created the first pair of jeans or rivet-reinforced denim pants.
Jeans were a game changer for western laborers, who sought durable work pants. Davis later partnered with Levi Strauss & Co. to bring jeans to the masses, and the rest is history. Fast forward to today and denim is an essential for shirts, jackets, and jeans. Some designers even use denim for coats and accessories.
