Bosideng Fall/Winter 2014–The life of artist Liu Bolin, also known as The Invisible Man inspired the fall/winter 2014 collection of Bosideng. Known for his work in which he camouflaged himself against modern cityscapes as a representation of a contemporary China, Bolin’s ideas breathed a fresh new attitude into Bosideng’s latest efforts. Infused with references from director Kar Wai Kong’s In the Mood for Love, noting rich colors and romance, Bosideng design director Amelia Pretious presented an offering that boasted both an urban appeal and a sophisticated sensibility. From dinner jackets and knitwear to outerwear, a young mood purveyed a fine showing that included surreal illustrations made in collaboration with Shanghai-based artist Chang Jinchao.
