New Night, New Drama
Moving from Monday to Friday night, America’s Next Top Model really made us wait for our weekly dose of drama. The episode centered around Denzel, Mirjana and later Will. For this week’s challenge, the models were split into pairs and read scripts for a chance at appearing on a scripted television show on The CW. Kelly Cutrone was at the challenge and asked Mirjana why she was paired with Keith when she is sleeping with Denzel. Mirjana had an allegedly witty comeback about not mixing business and pleasure…oh really! Surprisingly Denzel was a natural and took home the prize, thanks to his chemistry with Shei. The two shared a kiss which royally pissed off Mirjana and contributed to nonstop bickering back at the house. Denzel took the opportunity to remind the viewers that Mirjana still has a boyfriend back at home.
The Guy Who Wears Heels
Back at the house, Will overheard Denzel and Keith talking about the competition. Denzel, showing his prejudice, made a comment about not wanting to lose to a gay guy who wears heels. He also made the point to mention that Will was feminine. Will if course was emotional and hurt. Raelia came to his defense and Denzel wanted to talk things out with Will, but Will needed time and space. Keith, on the other hand, quickly removed himself from the situation, speaking in a confessional about his gay mom and gay mentors. Interesting… On the other hand, Adam told Will about his personal scandal, where he made the news after tossing a gay college student out of a party and making fun of his wizard costume. Adam explained how he was wrong and changed.
Icy Situation
This week’s photo shoot had the models sitting on a cold block of ice and delivering their model best. It seems like the cold conditions got to the models as very few delivered stellar images. Mirjana who didn’t do amazing herself felt the need to point out during Raelia’s shoot that her mouth was open and looked odd. Raelia took her to task post shoot and now the two are enemies.
Judging Panel
Will really taking his moment to shine, decided to wear heels to panel. Not missing an opportunity for drama, Tyra asked Will why he decided to wear heels and the whole beef with Denzel unfolded before the judges…awkward! Denzel was scolded and Tyra compared his ignorance to racism, discussing black models and dropping the N word. Surprisingly, Denzel escaped the hot seat and the bottom two ended up being Raelia and Kari. While Kari went home, Lenox scored another top photo, her second consecutive.
