Douglas Neitzke
Douglas Neitzke is a Brazilian model whose career spans the European runway and international men’s fashion publishing. His portfolio connects designers such as Dries Van Noten and Yves Saint Laurent with the wider audiences of Uniqlo and Zara.
Scouted in his hometown at sixteen, Douglas faced a decision that involved more than trying a new job. In a 2012 interview with Wonderland, he recalled moving to São Paulo, his first experience of a big city, and staying with his aunt. Before modeling, he had been finishing high school and working in his father’s silk-screen printing business.
Travel became one of the profession’s attractions. He remembered an early editorial assignment in the desert outside Los Angeles as both a shoot and a road trip. His personal relationship with clothes had a quieter reference point: a jacket inherited from his grandfather, which he reserved for special occasions. Alongside modeling, he enjoyed playing music and cycling.
Douglas developed an international magazine portfolio that includes Dazed & Confused and VMAN, as well as Japanese publications such as Popeye and Sense. Runway work brought him into the collections of Dior Homme and Lanvin, while his appearances for Dries Van Noten formed part of a broader connection to European menswear.
Commercial assignments supplied another strand of his career. Work for Uniqlo brought him into everyday wardrobe imagery, followed by a 2017 Zara story with Clément Chabernaud. Moving between designer collections and widely available clothes, Douglas built a portfolio across different markets and different ways of presenting menswear.
Douglas also developed a professional practice in cheesemaking. Based in Curitiba, Paraná, he works in the Pugliese tradition, specializing in mozzarella and burrata. Mozzarellart identifies him as its casaro, the Italian term for cheesemaker.
