Tomek Szczukiecki

Tomek Szczukiecki is a Polish model from Wrocław whose fine features and pronounced cheekbones became associated with the leaner menswear image of the late 2000s. His career has moved between luxury campaigns and an international magazine circuit, with Versace and Paul Smith among his defining advertising relationships.

In a 2015 interview with Magdalena Talik for Wrocław’s city website, Tomek recalled working in construction, his father’s workshop, and retail before modeling. Hanna Kucia of Myskena Studio approached him during a cigarette break outside his job at Factory Outlet. Encouraged by his mother, he agreed to photographs, then traveled to Paris at nineteen.

His first months abroad involved learning how to communicate as much as learning how to model. Flatmates helped him gain confidence speaking English, and an Issey Miyake show gave him his first runway experience. A Dior exclusive followed early in his career. He initially misunderstood the restriction to one show as a sign that he was doing badly, before realizing that the house wanted him to itself.

By fall 2010, Tomek was appearing alongside Marcel Castenmiller in Versace’s campaign, photographed by Mario Testino. That season also brought Paul Smith advertising, including an accessories campaign photographed by the designer. The relationship continued with the spring-summer 2014 Paul Smith Jeans campaign, photographed by Ronald Dick.

His own taste leaned toward the rock influences that often suited his fashion work. In a 2012 interview with Grazia, he described a wardrobe of faded jeans and T-shirts, finished with vintage leather accessories. John Varvatos and AllSaints were among the labels he felt reflected his personality. He also spoke warmly about Milan and the attention to detail he found in Italian fashion.

Magazine work extended his career across different markets, including GQ Taiwan and Esquire Spain. Later appearances in Elle Türkiye and on Dunhill’s spring-summer 2020 runway continued that international trajectory, bringing the model from Wrocław into successive chapters of menswear.
