Nicholas Galitzine takes center stage as VMAN’s June 2026 digital cover star, photographed by Luigi & Iango with styling by Anna Trevelyan. The striking black-and-white story arrives at a pivotal moment for the English actor, whose career has taken him from teen comedies and royal romances to the lead role in Masters of the Universe.

Across the photos, Galitzine appears in Giorgio Armani tailoring and stripped-back styling, a more mature look that aligns with the shift underway in his professional life. The pairing tracks. Galitzine is also the current face of Armani’s Stronger With You fragrance.

Speaking with VMAN Associate Editor Miss Manhattan, Galitzine reflects on stepping into the role of He-Man, a character that demanded more from him than any previous performance.

For Galitzine, Masters of the Universe became a year-long commitment that tested both his endurance and versatility. “I’ve never been asked to do so much for a role,” he says. “You get to the end of what essentially becomes a year of your life, and you feel like you’ve gone on this epic adventure.”

The demands extended well beyond the set. Discussing the physical transformation required for He-Man, Galitzine describes the process as “one of the most challenging things I’ve ever done,” recalling long shooting days spent balancing acting, stunt work, and a demanding fitness regimen. “Between every take or setup, I’m pedaling on the exercise bike,” he explains, a glimpse of the discipline required to embody one of popular culture’s most recognizable heroes.

The cover story also finds Galitzine considering how his public image continues to evolve. After earning a devoted following through romantic leading-man roles in films like Red, White & Royal Blue, he has become increasingly interested in pursuing more varied territory. “Those don’t necessarily encapsulate what I want to do, who I am, and how I see myself,” he says of labels such as heartthrob.

Recent independent projects and morally complex characters signal a broader ambition, one that extends far beyond a single archetype. VMAN captures an actor at a crossroads, holding the visibility of blockbuster stardom, while actively shaping a career built on range and refusing typecasting.

Galitzine’s black-and-white turn shares photographers with Kit Butler’s shape-shifting VMAN cover story, also lensed by Luigi & Iango.
