The Storyteller–Skingraft turns to various sources of inspiration for their fall/winter 2012 collection, following the modern storyteller in his many incarnations. From the respected monk to the hip-hop savvy urbanite, a dark vision comes to fruition with armor for the season. Building a wardrobe of interchangeable garments, elongated draped tops are paired with layered, fitted pants and leather outerwear. Taking casual garments such as the hooded sweatshirt into a more fashionable realm, oversized silhouettes play a role in adding variety in proportion. Altogether, sleek, modern and cool, Skingraft’s latest lineup melds the idea of a second skin with the times for a relevant collection of provocative ease. / Photos by Justin Sullivan.
