Clément Chabernaud

Twenty years after his Dior Homme debut, the French model is still the face designers, photographers, and brands keep coming back to.

Clément Chabernaud was sixteen, planning to become a teacher like his parents, when a friend’s photo shoot got him into agency meetings in Paris. He opened Dior Homme spring-summer 2006 in his first season.

The following year he became a Jil Sander exclusive under Raf Simons, opened the spring and fall 2007 shows, and shot four consecutive campaigns with Willy Vanderperre, the apprenticeship that placed him inside the photographer-and-designer circle that has shaped his career since.

By his early twenties he had walked Hermès, Yves Saint Laurent, Prada, and Bottega Veneta and shot with Karl Lagerfeld for VMAN. Vogue put him on its 2015 list of the twenty-five biggest male models of all time.

Twenty years on he is still working. Clément has remained the face Inditex reaches for at Massimo Dutti and Zara, and Chanel cast him opposite Gisele Bündchen for the J12 campaign of 2026, shot by Jack Davison.

The career argues for itself. The male-modeling industry, for all the social-media churn around it, still rewards a face it can trust season after season, and Clément is the face it has been trusting since 2006.
