Zac Efron is June’s cover star for Men’s Fitness. The 28 year-old actor is photographed by Jeff Lipsky for the occasion, heading to the beach for his photo shoot. Gracing the pages of the magazine to promote his movie Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Efron also dishes on his fitness goals. The Baywatch star says, “I want to be lean. When I put on a t-shirt, I don’t want people to go, ‘Oh, that guy’s a bodybuilder.” Talking about his diet, Efron continues, “After a while your body stops craving junk food and you look forward to these meals.”

Discussing the transition from junk food to healthy eating, Efron shares, “There’s this trigger that happens after two or three weeks of dieting and eating healthy food, where your body switches its primary energy source from burning mainly carbohydrates to burning fat.” Efron adds, “And when it switches over, all your cravings change. You go, ‘Holy cow, I want kale and vinaigrette shredded with beets and a little bit of sweet potato!'” Read more on MensFitness.com.

Connecting with Elle magazine for an interview in its June 2016 issue, Zac Efron dished about his shirtless scenes and future career in Hollywood. Asked if he’s worried about acting when less shredded, Efron replies, “I don’t know. I look at Matthew McConaughey. He’s maintained it his whole career. We know so much more now than we used to about [the effects of] being sedentary. I’m driven. I want to attack life. I want to do a triathlon.” Read more on Elle.com.
