Sometimes the excitement that rises to the forefront when you know you have a very cool trip ahead of you is only matched by the dread that you have about preparing for it. And that’s usually because packing is a chore that very few people look forward to doing. For guys especially, who aren’t always the most fastidious when it comes to tasks like that, the idea of packing for a long trip can be somewhat akin to having a root canal: You must get it done, but you’d rather be doing anything else. Luckily, some easy, time-saving, helpful tips can make it seem like less of a burden and get you back on track to where all you’re thinking about is the fun and experiences that you’re going to have on your journey.
Packing is something that is best attacked in a strategy-oriented fashion. If you go into it without having a plan, you’re likely to come it with a haphazard approach, leading you to either not being able to fit everything you need to take or, even worse, forgetting something essential. Like, for example, if you are going on a desert safari Dubai and you neglect to pack away that brand-new pith helmet you bought just for the occasion. To avoid any packing mishaps, go at it with a mathematical, clinical approach that will take the guesswork out of the equation, and you’ll likely find that it isn’t quite the annoying task that you made it out to be.
1. The Inventory
The first thing you need to do is make a list of everything that needs to be included. Regarding clothing, try to imagine a daily schedule and the clothes that you’ll need to include for each day, especially if you’re not going to have time for, or access to a laundry place to get things washed. Don’t forget other items that you’ll need to bring like toiletries and the like.

2. Find Out the Lay of The Land
The way you pack might in some cases be determined by the tools you have at your disposal once you get to where you are staying. If you do have the ability to wash clothes when you’re on your trip, you won’t need to bring as much. Having access to an iron will allow you to be a bit more creative in how you pack your clothes without having to worry about wrinkles. Don’t just assume you will have one on hand though, as not all international hotels provide them.
3. A Little At A Time
One of the things that make packing so daunting for people is that they save it all till the last minute before they must go. Try to think ahead of time. If you’ve just done the wash about a week or so before going on your trip, take some items and put them directly in your suitcase instead of putting them away.
Having a plan in place is always a good idea when it comes to packing for a vacation or trip. Now all you must worry about is repacking it all for the trip home.
