Soviet Summer-Designer Lucio Castro looks to his childhood as the inspiration behind his spring/summer 2015 collection. Created with summertime nostalgia and a romanticized vision of freedom of youth, Castro mixes in Soviet summer iconography from the 1970s and 80s. The beaches of Odessa and Sopot come to mind as relaxed boxy fits are used for a series of graphic t-shirts, oversized knits, printed drawstring waistband shorts and other summer pleasantries.
