Beginning with the Sharp Standard–Using a suit as his foundation, James Hillian was inspired by Salvatore Dali’s depiction of the cosmos for the spring 2012 season. More specifically, it was Dali’s depiction of a black hole that Hillian cites as a reference point for a collection filled with billowing pinstriped trousers and french style button-downs. With a few glimpses of color, the collection relies on predominantly black, white and gray. Quirks, outside the silhouette, come by way of pocket and zipper placement for an interesting spring feat.
