After connecting with At Large for one of the magazine’s debut covers, Unbroken actor Jack O’Connell is featured in The Observer. Linking up with writer Megan Conner, O’Connell discusses his role in Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken and his rumored girlfriend Cara Delevingne. Hinting at his troubled past that earned him a criminal record, O’Connell confesses that Jolie took a risk casting him. He shares, “She was under a lot of pressure from the studio and numerous people to get it right so you can imagine what it was like, trying to convince them about this complete unknown.” Referring to his past, he continues, “Well, yeah, they did the background checks on me. Because I think they were a bit worried, you know?”
On the subject of his rumored girlfriend Cara Delevingne, O’Connell will neither confirm or deny. He cheekily adds, “Yeah, I am a boyfriend to someone.” On the subject of Delevingne, all he says is “Look, I’m not single. She’s beautiful. And she makes me want to make time for her.
