Photographed by Matt Holyoak, actor Jack O’Connell connects with ShortList magazine for an update on his current projects. Reflecting on his career after appearing in the Angelina Jolie directed film Unbroken, O’Connell responds to how he’s feeling, sharing, “Up and down. Cause I realize what I have to do if I’m going to achieve what I’d like to as an actor. But then I have to be realistic and acknowledge that I’ve already gone further than I could have possibly hoped for back in the day.”

Talking about taking to the stage in the play The Nap, where he plays snooker player Dylan Spokes, the 25 year-old actor confides, “Well, it was an easy decision to make. I live 40 minutes away from Sheffield and it’s not the first time I’ve picked up a snooker cue.” O’Connell continues, “But the longer time’s gone, perhaps within this past year, you realize there’s a criteria. We’re in a business, after all. So [I’ve] just been trying to make sensible, smart choices instead.” Read more on ShortList.com.
