1978’s musical Grease came together with a magical cast led by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Creating an iconic couple to root for, Travolta played Danny while Newton-John stepped into the shoes of Sandy. Tension is created in the story by Danny’s rebellious reputation versus Sandy’s role as a good girl. Capturing fashions of the 1950s, Danny is a greaser, sporting his signature leather biker jacket and black denim jeans. A leader of the T-Birds, Danny is truly a pompadour idol.

Grease 2 (1982) Starring Max Caulfield & Michelle Pfeiffer
Following up the 1978 original with a sequel, Paramount Pictures banked on 1982’s Grease 2. Flipping the original story, Michelle Pfeiffer was recruited to play Pink Lady Stephanie Zinone. Set in the 1960s, Stephanie finds herself interested in the preppy English transplant Michael Carrington, who was played by Maxwell Caulfield. Similar to how Sandy found a bond with the Pink Ladies as common ground for Danny, Michael embraces an interest in motorcycles, surprising everyone as a cool rider.
