Inspired by American novelist William S. Burroughs and his penchant for stylish hats, Giorgio Armani looked to the Beat Generation to set the tone for his fall-winter 2016 men’s collection. Continuing a style narrative for the man that appreciates a timeless wardrobe, Armani rejected the exhibitionist, embracing the idea that “It doesn’t matter what the destination is, what really counts in a journey is the path: all the meetings, visions, experiences and sensations that form the inner landscape, modeled by the outer horizon.”
Long silhouettes were front and center, taking into account the natural lines of the body. Relaxed in nature, deep blues came together with neutrals to dress a regal lineup. Coats, trimmed with faux fur, pleated trousers, dapper waistcoats and graphic knits offered the essential Armani experience.
