School is in session and your attendance is mandatory. After a brief departure in another style direction, Frankie Morello designers, Maurizio Modica and Pierfrancesco Gigliotti are back to their campy ways. Inspired by a scholarly atmosphere, the duo have turned out a collection of afterschool ensembles. For the sensative jock, faux rebel or strapping jockey, Frankie Morello has you covered. Straps keep blazers, knits and tops held fast, while riding boots are all the talk when not in oxfords or sneakers. Piping distinguishes several suiting looks, while shorts are cuffed and casual baggy denim is thrown in for good measure. Overall, Frankie Morello delivers with several interesting pieces, but they are too far and wide. Perhaps, they should revisit their fall collection where less camp and more function struck the perfect balance.
