Eddie Redmayne covers the most recent issue of Entertainment Weekly as the magazine presents a first look at Harry Potter prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Redmayne plays the lead character Newt Scamander. Joined by Katherine Waterston, who plays Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, Redmayne is ready to take the cinema by storm.
Author J.K. Rowling takes her magical universe stateside as the movie opens up in 1926 New York. The film’s synopsis reads “The adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York’s secret community of witches and wizards seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.” Gone is the world muggle and now wizards will be using the term No-Maj, which is pronounced as ‘no madge’ aka no magic.
