“Study in Black” frames The Gamble(r)s model up-and-comer Konrad like someone caught between rooms—half-dressed, unguarded, and surrounded by a stillness that holds its breath. Julie Nagel’s lens captures an intimacy that feels unspoken—where fashion retreats from performance and becomes personal.

There’s a borrowed feeling here: the backstage solitude after a show, the stretch of late night before first light hits. Konrad lingers in the space between urge and retreat.

Markus Galic’s styling draws from club dressing at its most restrained—mesh tops hang loose like sweat-drenched layers at 4 a.m., and trousers move as if pulled from the floor. The leather is present, but understated, less Berlin nightclub, more what remains after.

Alex Merk’s grooming stays raw—no lacquered skin, no sculpted detail. It’s the look someone carries after the mirror becomes unnecessary.

The story holds together through mood, but it’s rooted in experience—the kind that doesn’t announce itself but accumulates: the blur of too many nights, the quiet that follows presence, the way clothing feels once the moment passes.
And whatever Konrad carries, he keeps close. The viewer is left to catch only the traces.
