Kim Jones Bids Farewell to Louis Vuitton with Fall ’18 Collection

The Fashionisto / Published January 18, 2018

After nearly a decade as Louis Vuitton men’s artistic director, Kim Jones bids farewell to the fashion house with his fall-winter 2018 collection. Since taking the creative reigns of Louis Vuitton in 2011, Jones has celebrated the brand’s storied heritage with grand visions of travel and this season is no different. The English designer entitled his final collection “Overview” and looked at aerial images of Kenya for inspiration. The results revolve around the idea of the modern explorer, clad in prints and earthy tones. Embracing an active spirit, models took to the catwalk in layered shorts, leggings, and trousers. Hiking boots complemented the ruggedness of dark LV logo prints and aerial graphics. Meanwhile, pops of color decorated outerwear and covetable knits. Closing out the show, Jones celebrated the end of a cherished era with friends Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
