Lemaire takes a page from the great works of Leo Tolstoy for its fall-winter 2018 collection. Designer Christophe Lemaire looks to Russian folk culture to inform his spin on the season. However, for Lemaire, this is minimal in nature. The charm in the designer’s approach to menswear is found in modest details but modern silhouettes. The new collection features oversized coats, elongated tops, mock neck tops, and cropped trousers. Adding prints to the narrative, Lemaire embraces paisley prints. Meanwhile, the color palette keeps the selection grounded with somber and dusty hues.
