John Elliott Returns to New York with ‘Delirium’ Fall ’18 Collection

The Fashionisto / Published February 12, 2018

John Elliott returned to New York Fashion Week to present his fall-winter 2018 collection. The designer found the initial inspiration for the season in an old garment from his uncle. Deconstructing the piece and reconstructing it, Elliott came up with the idea of “Delirium.” Altogether, the collection was inspired by the beauty and confidence of distortion. Elliott explains, Delirium is a graduation for the men–the textiles, the development, the patterns–it’s all elevated. Highlights from the outing include corduroy basketball shorts, cracked bleach denim, and houndstooth wool suiting. As usual, the runway show also featured collaborations. Elliott’s Nike Vandal made its debut alongside a jacket and anorak by Blackmeans.
