Jacquemus took to the outskirts of Marseille to debut its men’s line in Calanque de Sormiou. French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus used the moment to introduce his idea of masculinity to the world with “Le Gadjo.” Taking inspiration from the men of South of France, Jacquemus presents a relaxed beachy image. Rooted in practicality, the lineup includes lightweight knit sweaters, retro-style polo shirts, bathing suits, floral print shirts, and airy parkas. Bringing a resort vibe to menswear, Jacquemus captures the spirit of the Mediterranean. Building on the buzz around his debut collection, a lineup of styles will be available in a month’s time at SSENSE.
