EIDOS presents a season of “Contrast” with its spring-summer 2019 collection. Models Abel van Oeveren and Kyle Mobus showcase the new designs. Approaching the collection, Simon Spurr juxtaposes the ideas of Italian suiting and British punk style for an unlikely clash. Streamlined to the aesthetics of the sophisticated dresser, sartorial and street style converge. Tailored suits appear alongside graphic sweaters, ripped denim jeans, and leather jackets. Meanwhile, the color palette takes inspiration from the works of American artist Robert Rauschenberg. The late artist used the term “Combine” to describe his process of collaging contrasting objects with socially relevant imagery.
