On the heels of selling a majority stake to Puig Group, Dries Van Noten presented an upbeat spring-summer 2019 collection. The designer sought out a colorful approach to the season and found his inspiration in the work of Danish interiors designer Vernon Panton. Many of the collection’s prints are digitally rescaled versions of Panton’s work. Embracing a sixties vibe with bold graphics, the lineup also showcased fluid silhouettes. Bringing to mind summer, vibrant colors dressed a wardrobe of vibrant pieces. Van Noten’s man took to the catwalk with an endless number of must-haves. They ranged from lightweight parkas and printed blazers to the statement jumpsuit. The collection also featured beach-ready sandals and swim shorts.
