Dior Homme Pays a Nod to 90s Tattoo Culture for Fall ’18

The Fashionisto / Published January 20, 2018

Kris Van Assche once again finds inspiration in youth. The Belgian designer marries the freedom of young age with the vision of an adult outsider. Revisiting his dissection of the Dior Homme suit, Van Assche references nineties tattoo culture as he breaks down formal elements into casual alternatives. Black tailored suits open themselves up to shirts and additional sportswear with graphic rave totems and spiked tattoos. Forest green, red, brown, yellow, and blue add color to the lineup as Van Assche explores an urban prowess. Casual wear ranges from tattooed shirts and polos to color contrasted jackets. The Dior man embraces a relaxed silhouette as well with baggy pants. Further highlights include Christian Dior logo t-shirts, double-breasted coats, and cropped nylon parkas.
