Unveiling its latest designs, COS takes an intellectual approach to its fall-winter 2018 collection. The brand looks at the two themes of “real or imagined nature” and “processes which refine the raw.” These complex ideas inform a range of pieces that juxtapose classic staples with contemporary proportions and innovative materials. Texture also plays a significant role this season as the thought of the outdoors is translated into protective garments. It’s here that green, brown, sulfur, grey, off-white, and more come together for a grounded color palette. A contrast of materials celebrates imperfection and rawness. Hero pieces for the season range from a thermoreactive jacket to elongated sleeveless knitwear, and wide-leg jersey trousers. Standout accessories include square-toe leather zip boots and a felted wool backpack.
