The Spur and Coach Passage on the High Line served as the set for Coach’s spring-summer 2020 runway show. Coach creative director Stuart Vevers looked to the idea of past and present colliding for the inspiration behind the season. A juxtaposition of New Wave fashions with a streetwear attitude and bags, remastered from the archives mirrored the theme. Leather jackets and pants cemented Coach’s rebellious edge, while pops of color such as green, yellow, and red painted a youthful picture. Meanwhile, Richard Bernstein’s pop illustrations decorated sweatshirts and slouchy tanks for a casually cool look.
