Coach subverts menswear classics with a downtown attitude for fall-winter 2020. Stuart Vevers delivers a juxtaposition of arthouse charm with an imagined past, subverted with raw, graphic expression and joyful independence.
Coach’s lineup includes everything from oversized coats and patterned knitwear to leather trousers. A highlight of the season, Coach collaborates with the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat to produce sweatshirts, scarves, and more that feature the work of the late artist. Basquiat’s sister Lisane explains, We have always been fans of Coach. It’s such an iconic New York brand with really beautiful craftsmanship.
Basquiat continues, To see this collection come together has been truly exciting. Coach has done a great job in capturing the texture, detail, and energy of Jean-Michel’s work.
