Riccardo Tisci delivers what’s best viewed as a two-fold Burberry collection for fall-winter 2019. Entitled “Tempest,” the range tackles British culture, taking into account current and classic menswear trends. Approaching contemporary style, Tisci brings his modern penchant for streetwear. The Burberry check is interweaved amongst jackets and knitwear as the lineup unfolds with a hip logo. Plenty of casual essentials arrive in the form of leather joggers, logo sweatshirts, down jackets, tracksuits, and distressed denim. More in line with Burberry’s image, the second half of the collection warms up to rich brown hues and a sartorial nature. Elegant suits join sharp coats, smart shirts, and polished knitwear in a monochromatic scheme.
