Bottega Veneta celebrated its new Madison Avenue flagship store by unveiling its fall-winter 2018 collection during New York Fashion Week. Tomas Maier took the occasion one step further. The designer looked to the spirit of the Big Apple and its bold energy for inspiration. The results took Bottega Veneta’s quiet man down a path to explore his wild side. Setting the stage with soft tailoring, Maier upped the anté with zebra prints and an explosion of color. Maier also took the comforts of home and transformed them into pajama-inspired clothes. Married with chic patterns, the relaxed numbers definitely made an impact. Rounding out the showing, duffels, carryalls, and totes embraced a subtle pop of color.
