Kris Van Assche sets the groundwork for his first season as Berluti artistic director. Ahead of his runway presentation in 2019 during Paris Fashion Week, Van Assche unveils a spring-summer 2019 capsule collection. The outing serves as the opportunity to establish essentials for the Berluti man. Key items include the two-button suit jacket, white poplin shirt, bomber, tracksuit, and letter jacket. Van Assche also revisits Berluti’s classic Alessandro oxford, adding a modern flair with a thicker leather sole. The Andy loafer, which gets its name from Andy Warhol reaches new heights with a creeper sole. Frequent collaborators of Van Assche’s, photographer Alessio Bolzoni and stylist Mauricio Nardi contribute to the evolution of Berluti with the season’s lookbook. The shoot took place at the Berluti workshop in Ferrara, Italy this past June with models Alec Pollentier and Daniel Morel.
