AMI Spring 2026 Finds Balance in Familiar Surroundings

The Fashionisto / Published June 26, 2025

For spring-summer 2026, Alexandre Mattiussi presented AMI Paris at Place des Victoires. This square sits just outside the brand’s offices and marks a meeting point of its core ideals: classicism, ease, and a sense of fun.

The collection extended that sense of familiarity into something more open and generous. Silhouettes became larger, layering was looser, and the styling was intentionally overemphasized while maintaining an effortless appearance.

AMI’s looks responded to natural light and soft, weathered shades such as leafy green, pale cream, muted yellow, and dusty terracotta.

This season, Mattiussi’s coats still hold form, though they now offer more flexibility. One boxy beige overcoat appeared alongside longline shirting and drawstring shorts that resembled pajamas or repurposed uniforms. Shirts varied from standard cuts to frilled versions, all unbuttoned to allow air.

AMI’s idea of freedom was clearest in the casting and relaxed proportions, where individuality took priority over theme. The styling shifted subtly from look to look, but the mood stayed consistent. There was polish in the finish, lightness in the attitude, and a clear intention to dress real men for a relaxed afternoon in Mattiussi’s part of Paris.
