Hot on the heels of promotion for the final installment of The Hobbit, Deadline confirms that actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be stepping into the shoes of Doctor Strange to bring the surgeon turned sorcerer to the big screen on July 8, 2016. This news also means that Cumberbatch could make a future appearance in The Avengers.
