AMI designer Alexandre Mattiussi presented a hard, youthful edge for fall-winter 2015, but with an attitude that can be adapted across ages. Bringing together a variety of pieces with relaxed proportions and a focus on separates, a collection of wearable pieces were turned out. Crafting a seamless, adaptive uniform, casual and formal articles played off each other with a certain ease. Pleated trousers were relaxed and suits dressed in pinstripes. Perhaps, the collection’s most prominent statement belonged to its use of denim. A mix of light and dark denim jeans were worn with oversized coats and simple knitwear, resulting in looks that were simply easy. Pairing smart basics with statement outerwear and boots, AMI’s man marched to a triumphant beat of his own drum.
