Fashion seems to change every day, with every new magazine or television show comes a new trend. Big fashion changes for both men and women have popped up over the last few months, but especially for men. As times change and society changes, so does the world of fashion. Sometimes keeping up with these changes can be challenging, but not to worry. Here are a few fashion suggestions that will help you stay trendy and up to date in 2020.

Outerwear

Thanks in part to the unpredictable weather caused by climate change, coats and jackets are expected to remain worn through much of spring. Longer style jackets and puffy coats are back. When it comes to longer jackets, do not go overboard. There is no need to seek out a trench coat, instead choose something knee-length, preferably double-breasted, and you are sure to look good.

When it comes to the puffy coats, the sky’s the limit. Or possibly that floor. These coats come in nearly every length and color, so you can customize it to your preference. If you are not quite sure what your preference is, stick with waist-length in a neutral color. You can wear it with just about anything and still look trendy.

Shirts

The types of shirts available for men have really diversified over the last few years, giving everyone the chance to choose something that speaks to them. Although you should always choose what best suits your personality, turtlenecks and open-neck button-down shirts seem to be coming back this year.

What is cooler than a solid black turtleneck? Wear it with slacks, wear it with jeans, it still looks good. If black is not your color, cream is another popular choice, although you can find them in nearly every shade. And, of course, if the turtleneck does not suit your taste, open-neck button-down shirts are a great option. You can purchase them in various colors and patterns, plus you can go long or short-sleeved. No matter what you choose, the button-down is a classy shirt choice.

Denim and Slacks

No man’s wardrobe is complete without a good pair of jeans and some classic slacks. Distressed men’s urban jeans remain a staple of streetwear. Not only are they comfortable, but they also look good whether you pair them with a tee shirt, a dress shirt, or a sweater.

Distressed jeans will never go out of style. As far as slacks are concerned, they are no longer just for the office. A stylish pair of black slacks will look good with nearly any shirt or jacket and work well for streetwear.

Shoes

The big trend in men’s footwear for 2020 is leather boots. Depending on the brand, they are comfortable as well as stylish and come in a variety of colors and materials. If you are opposed to wearing leather, there are vegan leather options too. You can be environmentally conscious and still trendy.

Not into boots? How about some minimalistic sneakers? These sneakers are simplistic and classy. Flashy, brand name shoes were all the rage for a while, but nowadays the trend is leaning toward something a little more subtle. You can still wear the brands you love, you just do not have to be as showy about it.

Keeping up with the fashion world can be a challenge, but with these tips, you will never have to worry about being out of style. Choose a sleek jacket, subtle shirt, and distressed jeans, add a pair of minimalistic sneakers and you are sure to look good, no matter who you are with.
