Steve Carell is one of GQ’s ‘Men of the Year’, covering its December 2014 issue with a photo by photographer Ben Watts. Talking about the darkness that often accompanies humor, Carell confesses, “I think with anyone who seems to be content and well-adjusted, which I think I am, there’s a need to find a darkness or a wound. Judd Apatow–I’m gonna misquote him–but he spoke to that in regards to me: that he could never seem to find my wound. So either I don’t have one, or I was really stealthy in hiding it from him. I never thought of myself as funny. I don’t feel like I’m great at cocktail conversations. I don’t hold court.” Read more at GQ.com.
