Vignettes–Captured by the artistic lens of director Thomas Giddings, Chinese faces Wang Rui, Liu Chang, Hao Yun Xiang, and Zhao Lei are portrayed in a new film project, titled “China’s Most Striking Men,” for NOWNESS. Pulling inspiration from the 1980 movie, American Gigolo, Giddings approaches the project with a careful and discreet aesthetic, producing an understated yet subtly eerie film. Like a fly on the wall, the director watches the models as they go through the latest season’s shows, hoping to uncover the boys’ raw personalities in an industry that is all too well dictated by the clothes on their backs. / Music by Golden Hum.
