No Girls Allowed–Freshly graduated from the London College of Fashion, Robert Ventura Gibson presents his fall/winter 2012 collection, an ode to childhood television shows such as “Are You Afraid of the Dark” and “Twin Peaks.” Titled, “Secret Boys Club,” the quirky line approaches traditional menswear staples with the youthful exuberance and innocence of children, a comment upon adolescent identity and the exclusivity of clubs, cliques, and societies. Featuring vibrant color-blocked double-breasted jackets and blazers, as well as shirting and trousers splashed with psychedelic and fantastical graphics, the collection channels the playfulness and spontaneity of childhood onto classic cuts and silhouettes.
