Pen March 2010 | Julius Gerhardt by Rene Habermacher

The Fashionisto

/

Published March 7, 2010

In addition to his upcoming Vogue Hommes Japan cover, Julius Gerhardt covers the March 2010 issue of Japanese magazine Pen. Photographed by Rene Habermacher and styled by Takafumi Kawasaki, Julius gets wrapped up in a severe look that includes bleached eyebrows. Void of a smile, a certain unease unfolds despite the spread’s beautiful surroundings. Creating a tension that exudes the constant pull of modern ideas on traditional menswear, the shoot makes for a dynamic look at today’s minimal shifts in fashion.

  3. these are great. in response to an earlier comment about mens fashion imitating womens…its undeniable that mens fashion is heavily influenced by whats happening in womenswear, so of course editorial stories in menswear will be inspired in a similar manner.
