Mincemeat–Alex Bennett sports the latest collection from Mostecak in a series of images taken by Thomas Giddings. Inspired by morbid stories of Death Burger Specials made from the remains of famous celebrities such as Elvis, James Dean and Walt Disney, designer Tomislav Mostecak looks to significant artifacts of entertainment for a minced reinvention for the fall 2011 season. From Elvis’ iconic red suede jacket to his military bomber or 70’s tweed jacket, the famous relics find a new life in Mostecak’s method of melting these looks and separating their construction into other pieces, whether it is the texture of a dress or shape of a set of pockets.
