The Emporio Armani show opened up with Guiness Book of World Records recordholder Vittorio Brumotti taking the stage to demonstrate some of his daredevil stunts. As the show unfolded, it become apparent why Giorgio Armani had extended an invitation to Brumotti. Armani approached his spring collection with the same youthful vigour and sense of adventure. Throwing caution to the wind, Armani crafted a collection that appeals to a younger, more present generation. Building a wardrobe that expands past the standard suit, Armani breaks with monotony, incorporating bold daring cuts, vibrant reds and a visual feast of varied textures. A disorderly array of polka dots, sheer materials, subtle monochromatic floral prints, and belted long john numbers somehow fit into the larger picture of an artist who is reinventing himself to better suit the times.
